Meet Jerry the Bear, the first product of Sproutel, a local startup that makes interactive toys for children with chronic illnesses. Come to the Café to test pre-production prototypes of Jerry and give feedback to influence product development process.

APX Labs is the software company that first built “Terminator Vision” on Smart Glasses for the U.S. Military. Since then, APX Labs has created a comprehensive Smart Glasses platform and expanded the company’s product capabilities into cloud computing and cellular network infrastructure. Today, APX is on its third product release, and has the full technology stack required to deliver advanced mobile and hands-free solutions to a wide range of industrial applications.

Learn about Myomo®, Inc., a medical technology company leading the way in developing and designing powered bracing devices that improve mobility and restore independence for individuals who suffer from debilitating muscle weakness due to stroke and other conditions. The Myomo Mobility System is designed to enable individuals to self-initiate and control movement of partially paralyzed limbs using their own muscle signals. The Myomo Myoelectric Platform Technology is the foundation for the development of future Myomo devices that will help in the mobility for other affected areas such as the hand wrist, knee and ankle. The technology was originally developed at the MIT in collaboration with medical experts affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

Stop by to receive an eye refraction test!  EyeNetra’s NETRA-G device is based on research at MIT Media Lab that quickly measures for nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism on a mobile phone. EyeNetra is creating a disruptive eye care platform enabling on-demand eye testing to reach 2.4 billion people around the world who don’t have glasses and need them.
